Happy Birthday Bubby...

I've been meaning to do this all day but we've been moving and driving...so, here is a baby pic that Katie took of Hudson after he was born. He is 3 today!!! I can hardly believe it...it seems like just yesterday. He isn't quite 3 yet, not until 10:43 pm tonight, but happy birthday to him anyway!!! We are so proud of him and Kayli and how well they get along. We are excited to add to the family and see how all that changes the sibling dynamics...I am sure he will be a GREAT big brother!

We love you, Hudson!!

Wedding Bells....

Well, the weekend we've all been waiting for finally came. The four of us loaded up the van and drove down to Owasso for the big event. We actually arrived just in time at the church for the rehearsal and dinner. G was a groomsman and Kayli was the flower girl. Thanks, Everyone for all your input on the hair...we actually went with a style that was not pictured. Those pics will come later because Katie and Mandi took the photos of the wedding.

The rehearsal was fun...the kids did great (and the big guys too)...it didn't take very long for everyone to know what they were going to be doing. We headed to the high school room for the dinner....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, yummo, my mother-in-law did a fab. job with the food and Kristy June did a GREAT job decorating and setting up. There were a bunch of family and friends there. Actually, some of Martha's friends from her African missions trip last summer flew in to be there...how nice.

Saturday started bright and early at 7:30 am for the girls...it takes a bride and her girls a while to get ready. Chris and Marty decided to do ALL pics before hand so they were all to be ready at 9:45 to leave and do pics outside. The weather was amazing (since it rained every day that week except Sat and then rained again Sunday!) and the bridal party did a good job posing for the camera...and being silly.

Back at the church at 11:30 for family pics and then the wedding at 1pm! It was so CRAZY watching Chris get married. I came into the family when he was 13...and while I didn't watch him grow up, up like his family, it still was strange for me. But, they did it, they tied the knot and it was beautiful! Everything was smooth and perfect! Martha was gorgeous in her wedding dress! I was also super proud of Kayli who stood still the entire time! She did GREAT!

I don't have pics from the wedding day...Katie and Mandi did those...and we cannot wait to see them, but for now here are just a few from the rehearsal!

Thoughful Thursday...

Mommy isn't allowed in the kitchen (if you couldn't tell what the picture meant!!!)

G decided that he wanted to make dinner for me tonight. Kayli and G topped a pizza crust and G made a salad with homemade vinaigrette!! Yummo!! Here are some pics from dinner tonight...

it was yummo!!!!

It Rains In Branson...Happy Memorial Day!

Our Memorial Day vacation landed us in Branson, MO for the long weekend. G's mom and dad rented a 5 bedroom for the family. Some of the family arrived Thursday, which turned out to be one of the only days with sunshine. While the rest of us arrived Friday night, the rain started to come down. The place where we stayed had an indoor pool, which was nice because the kids had a chance to swim even though it rained. Other things to do in Branson when it rains....

play cards, cars, trains, and Yegos (legos)
see a show (Noah)(Hudson lasted 1/2 the show...we also enjoyed hot dogs there...yum!)
go to the movies (Night at the Museum II) GREAT one!
shop, shop, shop (Tanger outlets)
Branson landing
read anything
color for a reeeeeeeeeeally long time
have a coloring contest where everyone who enters wins in their own category
sleep in!
hang with family
watch Jon and Kate plus 8 premier (boo)

Bad parts of the rain in Branson:
my legs still glow in the dark (ha!)

We really had a good time...the kids took long hikes with papa whenever the sun showed it's face...they had a blast!

it was raining and the magazine was just there...
