Finally Walked in the Door....

around 1am this morning from our trip to Paris (thanks to AA for all the delays!). As you know, g and i went for about 8 days....the first half being for a conference and the last half for fun. well, our second half started out pretty bad with g being pick pocketed (from his front pocket...how invasive and violating!) on the metro and us loosing all credit card access and half our euro....we did kinda pout the rest of that day trying to figure out if we could survive on what i'd had in my wallet...we decided that if we didn't buy souvenirs, we'd be fine eating crepes and buying water at the mini mart. But, we were in Paris and decided not to let it ruin our trip...we were fine...and safe too.

So, we rationed our euro and enjoyed the rest of the trip, with some help from the states we were able to purchase a few souvenirs...sorry Laura...next time.

Here are a few pictures of us and the sights. We walked a lot and saw lots. Called the kids every day to talk and they ended up being just fine with grandma and shan.

thanks for all your prayers!!

Wednesdays with Becca...

Well, today we had a BLAST with aunt becca. We headed out to Deanna Rose Farmstead where you can do many, many things. They have a garden to walk through, chickens, peacocks, goats, baby goats, a fishing pond, milking cows, a playground, water pad, and much more to do and see. And, the best thing of all, it's close and it's FREE!!! Yes, all of it....well, we did have to pay 25c for goat food and $1 for each baby goat bottle...but other than that, all FREE! And it was fun, here are some pictures of us from our wednesday with becca...

Spider Update...

Well, it's been a while since we've talked spiders around here. We had the guys come after that last spider post and they sprayed and put glue strips down here and there. We've been keeping track of how many have been caught and here is the tally...

DEAD:
Big-4
Small-4
ALIVE:
Big-2
Small-2

We actually killed the last big alive one in the kids room while I was changing a diaper...creepy!!! But haven't seen one in several days, thank God! I am a little creeped out about it all and having trouble sleeping off and on...but getting better b/c there haven't been any lately!!!

Count Down Monday...

For those of you who think that I am sitting in despair around here...be reassured, we are fine. Just because we are doing a count down doesn't mean we aren't enjoying Kansas City. We miss friends and family from home, we miss our church and church family, and we miss our SS class as well. We are enjoying a reconnection with family out here and look forward to being close as other family members move closer!! The kids seem to really enjoy the new children's ministry on Sundays...and we are finding lots of things to do around here. But, we don't really feel "at home" so allow me my count down.

Two weeks down, 50 t0 go!

Hudson loves to wake Kayli up in the mornings...he gets out of his cute little car bed and climbs up the slide to get up on her bed...he leans way over her sweet sleeping face a pats her back with cute little squeals! She doesn't mind, she lovvvves her little brother and informed us that she wants more!

INTRODUCING THE NEW KAYLI...

AND NOW FOR THE MAIN EVENT!!! KAYLI AND HER NEW HAIR.....10 INCHES LATER....

Kayli has been talking about getting a haircut for soooooooooooo long and we've been able to hold her off. Well, today was the day and off it went! I told the lady to cut it shoulder length and it looks a little shorter than I thought and it was about 10 inches. She lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvves it and we think it's too cute! We tried ponytails and it's too short...so, there you have it...our new Kansans City girl.

well, hudson was way over due for his cut today...he screamed bloody murder the whole time and I had to hold his head...hello, sharp scissors around his cute little ears??? But, the lady that cut it was AWESOME!!! And he looks like the handsom little man that he is!

Wednesdays with Aunt Becca

Now that we are close to aunt becca we've decided to meet on Wednesdays to play and what not. Today we met to have a pic-nic and fly kites...however there wasn't much wind for kite flying. We ended up eating and playing in the crazy heat and humidity...here are some pictures of the kiddos and aunt becca.
